Nourishment & Recovery

When it comes to our bodies in times of illness and recovery, there are few things that nourish as deeply as a bowl of soup or a slow cooked curry or stew. The Golden Days menu is designed to help you and your loved ones heal and repair when you need it most.

All of our food is:

  • nutrient dense

  • made with real, quality, seasonal ingredients

  • gentle on the gut and digestive systems

  • free from gluten, dairy, refined sugars, additives, preservatives, colours, nasties.

Special Dietary Support

Living with special dietary requirements can be tough, whether you have a disease, allergy, intolerance or just need a break from certain ingredients. At Golden Days we understand exactly what that’s like as we ourselves deal with this within our own bodies and families.

Our food is designed to feel like you’re not missing out! Perfect to gift to others when you’re not sure what requirements they might have.

Our meals:

  • are labelled properly, no confusing information around ingredients and allergens

  • use soaking and cooking techniques that support anti-inflammatory responses and are easy to digest

  • designed for you to add your own sides to suit your specific special requirements

  • gluten free (please see FAQs for specifics)

Fresh & Frozen

Whether you need to stock the freezer, gift meals to someone or just have a freshly baked loaf of slowly fermented organic sourdough delivered to your door, we’re here to look after you.

We prepare a variety of delicious meals and freeze them for you so you can order ahead and have them delivered. Each item in our online store will specify whether you’re ordering a frozen or fresh item so you’re able to pick and chose as you like.

Our frozen meals are designed to be thawed before reheating so just pop them out of the freezer the night before you plan on eating them. Our recommended heating instructions are listed on each item.

Oh and don’t worry, you won’t find any frozen bread here, we always bake fresh.

Our Packaging

Sustainable and environmental choices

Our frozen meals come in two wonderfully sustainable packaging formats, dependant on the meals consistency.

Most of our mains are in an amazing packaging derived from natural unbleached sugar cane pulp and plant fibres and can go straight from your fridge into the microwave or oven and easily withstand temps up to 210 degrees. Well tested by us we even bake our beetroot brownies straight into them (that way you don’t miss out on the crispy edges too). It’s an incredibly convenient and easy way to not have to add extra cleanup into your meals.

When it comes to soups and items that are a little runnier, we’ve opted for a recyclable option with 1 litre jars. Our smaller sauces are also in jars.
We are planning on implementing a return and reuse system for this in future, please keep an ear out for our launch of this.

The remainder of our fresh items are in Kraft recyclable paper and card pouches. For items with any plastic, we are planning on phasing these out once we run out of them. In the meantime please place the plastic element into the bin and recycle the kraft paper sleeve.
